![]() 2012 Just had the most unpleasant accommodations of any vacation ever. we liked the cottage as a home base for day trips on the cape and dinners out, but it's not the type of place that you would stay to lounge around your room and eat dinners in. The porch has a nice view and would be a great place to sit in the evening and have a drink or to eat dinner, but not in it's current condition. the picnic table was rotting and paint was peeling. it had an old, rolled up area rug just laying there. the biggest disappointment was the front porch of our unit. it was very clean and we were the only ones there (it was 4p, but still it was nice to have the pool to ourselves!) it's nothing fancy, but was clean and a very short walk from the room. We took the girls for a swim at the pool. the unit needs an A/C unit or at least another fan. there was no air conditioning and the living room does not get any sort of cross breeze. the bedroom was musty smelling and the linens need updating. The kitchen is cute and has everything you need, but is very small. It has a small living room with dining table area. It would be great for a couple or a few girl friends, but anymore than that would be too much. We had a great time exploring the cape and the beach, but the cottage was lacking. The cottages are about a mile walk to the main street with tons of restaurants, shops and the carousel. It is just a quick walk to a great little beach that is not crowded at all (probably because there isn't a lot of parking at the beach). My husband and our two small children (under five) stayed mid-week in July in cottage 7B. ![]()
